Most businesses I see fail at these things. Business owners are too busy to produce all that content, or lack the knowledge of how to properly create a website. So they outsource these tasks to others - but unless you work with a marketer like me, theres too many complex moving parts to reliably outsource.
The internet was created by scientists to share information using computers. Today it's used by almost everyone. The purpose of software and computers is to automate tasks that it would be impossible for humans to do. So how does someone correctly leverage this technology in a business application context?
Not many companies invest in professional video production because it can be very expensive.
That's why I invested years into learning these skills and using them to develop my own businesses. I figured it was a lot cheaper for me to buy a camera and learn how to make videos and websites and do marketing myself than to hire someone. It really is! All the marketing agencies I've consulted with charge a minimum of $5000-$7000 to work with, and they don't even produce the videos! That's just to run the web.
When I was first starting out in sales and business I had only about a thousand bucks to launch this company. So I bought a camera and laptop and did it all myself. Since then I've made hundreds of thousands of dollars creating content and leveraging it into sales. But if you don't have months to spend learning you can hire me to take care of all your video marketing.
Automate presentation of your offering in a professional way, and people will do business with you. The evidence has to clearly show your company is the best option.
I used my digital camera and computer to create sales automations that have made MILLIONS for the companies below. I like to use Uprinting because you can get flyers for 0.10 cents that are so much better than anything else people are using. The flyers below are for a company in a niche that is already oversaturated. Customers get 10+ generic looking flyers from other companies - but the flyers I created outperform because they have a bunch of images shot on pro-cameras and hit the sale from every angle. These dent repair companies also have good social media content and websites, so it all works together. One important reason physical print marketing works so well is that when people go online they see tons of positive reviews.
The printing press, camera, computers, and the internet are part of the technological revolution that now inundates every aspect of our lives. Use them to your advantage.
Take a look at the timeline below and ask yourself -- do you have enough content to show people 18-20+ NEW and INTERESTING videos over the next month?
Do you have any automations in place so that your existing database of customers is continually being targeted with not just special offers, but informative valuable content?
Automations can be triggered with software like Zappier, of Go High Level. A web user fills out a form on your website requesting more information, this triggers an AUTOMATED followup or series of customizable actions. You can send customers documents to fill out, customers can book appointments THEMSELVES instantly that sync with your calendar instead of having to call you and make an appointment. If someone has a question, a chat bot can be programmed with information for every conceivable question people have.
The internet and software can be used to manage and automate a lot of work by delivering information and providing this mechanism for customers to transact with you on their own time, which makes your sales process more efficient.
So on your social channels you need at least this many videos if you want to "get customers from the internet"
Making the content is only 50% of the challenge to build and monetize an audience using the internet. The next parts are equally important:
When people search on google, facebook, or other search engines - you want YOUR CONTENT to show up. How do you make that happen? SEO.
SEO is a complicated subject that can take hours of research just to scratch the surface of - and in this article I'm trying to keep it simple.
Basically you want a link to your website on EVERY AVAILIBLE PLATFORM ONLINE
If you are a local business you should create a business page on all these platforms ASAP (Or you can hire me and my team to do it all for you)
Google My Business, Apple Maps, Bing Maps, Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIN
Make sure all of these platforms have a link to your website. This is the most simple way to get your website ranked higher in search engines.
After considering search volume, intent, and difficulty of keywords in your niche - now it is time to start publishing SEO optimized articles on your website and sharing these articles on social media networks and blogs.
As web users search for keywords in your niche they will see your content and visit your website.
If analytics are configured properly - every time someone visits your website, their IP address is captured by facebook and google and they can be retargeted later with specific videos.
Online shoppers don't just get on their computers and go straight to your website and book an appointment or buy something. People like to browse around and read articles. So it's important to have a good blog.
The best solution for managing blog articles is CMS (Content Management System). This blog you are reading right now is made with Webflow, which I prefer over Wix, Squarespace, Wordpress, or any of the other popular hosting and front end website builder services. CMS lets you organize dozens or even hundreds of pieces of content and be able to reformat the look of your website at any time while preserving the content.
Most people who try to run ads fail because their website doesn't have enough content yet.
If someone visits your website from an ad, but your website is super generic like you just hired someone on fiver to build it for you, you are basically just flushing money down the toilet. Why? Because remember people like to see a lot of information before they buy. If you don't even have a blog on your website... then you might want to invest in building that before you start running ads.
Also, once you start paying for traffic you will want to squeeze every last drop of value from that investment. So you need data analytics integrations.
First of all you need google analytics and facebook pixel integrations on your website so you can capture web user data from visitors. Without these pieces of code in your website, anyone who doesn't buy will be lost forever. With these codes, those people can be retargeted with more of your content.
Another important integration is calendar scheduling tools so people can book appointments themselves instead of filling out a contact us form and waiting for someone to follow up.
Then you need an automation where customer form submission data gets put into a CRM like High Level so your inbound leads get followed up with and sales get closed.
But before any of this, you need a few informative or helpful SEO optimized blog articles on your website, as well as FAQs, Videos, Reviews, Photos, and information specific to your product or service. Without all of this on your website - people will "bounce" and paying for traffic will be a waste.
Once you have 50+ posts on all the social media networks, and all the proper analytics and automations set up and ready for the flow of traffic - NOW is when you spend $1000 on facebook ads and send 50,000 people to your page. A larger amount of those people will convert into sales.
People who don't immediately take action and submit their data to your website will at least start following you, and over time as they discover more of your content they might revisit your website and buy in the future. The more people you have in your database, the more revenue you will ultimately capture.
Once you rank high in google or have a lot of content on social media networks, your website will indefinitely generate new leads.
How do you measure the return on investment of your facebook ads?
This is going to be different for every niche, but let's say you spend $1000 on facebook ads to acquire 10 customers.
This means your Customer Acquisition cost is $100.
So if you make on average $1000 profit per customer on average, it's a no brainer to spend $100 per customer to keep getting new ones from facebook.
But - that will not work without the content strategy and automations in place.
With a few clicks you can get new customers for a fixed cost.
